RUNNERS from Thurrock and Dagenham could face delays getting to the London Marathon this Sunday due to engineering work on the c2c train line.
The rail operator has announced that rail replacement buses will run between Chafford Hundred and Pitsea due to ’structural work’ being carried out between Grays and Tilbury Town.
Maintenance between Barking and Dagenham will mean no trains travel between those stations either. They will also be replaced by buses.
However, the company said a number of trains on the rest of the line would be extended to eight carriages to transport predicted higher passenger numbers as a result of the marathon.
