GOALS from Marcus Bowers, Oliver Spooner and Daniel Dafter ensured Prokit UK Essex Olympian League Division One Champions, Basildon Town, another comfortable success, something that delighted manager, Marc Harrison.

Speaking to Yellow Sport after the match, the Town chief said:

“I am very pleased with the clean sheet as well as scoring three goals.

“We were always in reasonable control of the match. However, at times we forced the ball into the wrong areas which allowed Hutton to turn the game into a scrap, which suited them better than us.

“But In the second half we got the ball wide, and made the pitch a lot bigger. With Hutton adjusting, we found a lot more space, which we were able to exploit.”

Harrison continued: It just proves what a fantastic group we have. We set ourselves a target of winning each of our last six league fixtures. We are only one game away from achieving that target. The team have remained focused, despite the title having been sewn up two weeks ago. That is extremely pleasing from my point of view.”
